Grady General is tapped one of state’s best hospitals

GRADY GENERAL HOSPITAL, sporting a new tile roof, has been recognized as one of the top small hospitals in the state.
In the December issue, the magazine listed Grady General among the top 72 hospitals in Georgia for excelling in areas such as quality of care and patient satisfaction. Additional information on hospital readmissions, mortality and hospital acquired infections obtained from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid was used to compile the rankings.
All four Archbold hospitals achieved high rankings in their respective patient bed categories with Grady General placing 11th in the category for hospitals with fewer than 150 beds.
“Providing our patients the best quality, patient-focused care is our number one priority,” said LaDon Toole, Grady General administrator. “Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the right care at the right time in a safe environment.”
The Georgia Trend ranking marks the conclusion of another exceptional year for Grady General Hospital.
The hospital earned multiple awards from the Georgia Hospital Association for its sustained focus on overall quality of care and patient safety initiatives, which also helped Grady General consistently place on Georgia Hospital Association’s “Quality Honor Roll.” Also this year, Grady General Hospital earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with national standards for healthcare quality and safety in hospitals.
“The accreditations and recognitions we’ve received over the past year for excellence in patient care are a testament to our staff’s commitment to provide our community high-quality healthcare,” said Toole. “It’s an honor for Grady General to be recognized as a Top Georgia Hospital, and it’s something for our community to be very proud of.”
