Chamber to elect new board members

The ballots are in and are being counted in the recent Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce board of directors election.
Chamber members were asked to vote for three of six nominees. The three with the most votes will win seats on the chamber’s board of directors.
Nominated this year were; Chastity Cox of the Bank of the Ozarks; Jay Evans of Badcock & More; Brooke Turner Jones of Southern Promotions & Apparel; Faye Meeks of Performance Food Group; Joe Porter of Porter Insurance Agency; and Alan Wells of Cairo Auto Supply.
The deadline for ballots to be submitted or postmarked was last Friday, Nov. 9. The results will be published in next week’s edition of The Cairo Messenger.
