Final days to purchase gun raffle tickets

The Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce is completing ticket sales this week for its 30-day gun raffle.
“There are less than 150 tickets left and, if you hurry, you should be able to get a ticket. It looks like this has been a very successful new fundraiser for the chamber – we are hopeful all the tickets will be sold” said Chadd Mathis, Chamber and Joint Development Authority executive director.
“The community has really stepped up and made this a popular event,” said Jennifer Majors, executive vice president of the Chamber of Commerce.
Only 1,000 tickets will be sold. The 30-gun raffle will start on May 1 and continue each weekday thereafter (excluding Memorial Day) for 30 days.  Each day, a ticket holder will win a gun. Each day’s winner will be determined by using the Georgia Lottery Mid-Day Cash 3 winning number.
Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, South Georgia Outdoors and The Cairo Messenger.
