These are real Bruty’s

BRUTY CONTESTANTS Casey Elkins, Brady Johnson, Johnni Jesus, Andrius Rountree prepare for Friday night’s show.

They have their makeup, high heels and sequined dresses ready for the big night and are anxious to strut their stuff before a panel of pageant judges Friday. Although some of the contestants may sport a 5 o’clock shadow or hair on their chest, they will do their best to win the 2nd Annual Miss CHS Bruty Contest at Cairo High School.
The all-male pageant kicks off at 7 p.m., Friday at the high school auditorium.
Contestants are Brady “Koolasdria” Johnson; Casey “Kandi Minaj” Elkins; Brason “Brandy Bouffant” McKenzie; Andrius “Bridgett Square Twig” Roundtree; Johnni “Barak Obamenisha” Jesus; and LaDarius “Gidget Harris” Robinson.
“They are practicing walking in those high heels and their talent,” laughs Nola Daughtry. director of Grady County Children and Youth.
Judges for the contest are Celeste Tyler (City of Cairo); Debra Hancock (Department of Labor); William Jones (CPA, Richter and Company); Carolyn Meades (City of Cairo); and Linda Drew Johnson (United National Bank).
The contest, sponsored by Cairo Youth Council, is a fund raiser for the Ferst Foundation Literacy Program and Kids Against Hunger in Grady County.
Cairo Youth Council is sponsored by Mrs. Lisa LeGette, teacher, and Mrs. Nola Daughtry, director of Grady County Children and Youth Council, Inc.
Student tickets are $3 and Adult tickets are $5.
