Children of the World choir to perform here

As part of its 2011-2012 U.S. tour, World Help will present Children of the World International Children’s Choir in Cairo in two weeks. The choir, comprised of orphaned and disadvantaged children from several different countries, will perform at Southside Elementary School Auditorium on Wednesday, March 7, at 7 p.m.
Their high-energy and inspiring program will feature several songs, in both English and native dialects, as well as stirring personal testimonies. The children have performed in such venues as Focus on the Family, Brooklyn Tabernacle, Crystal Cathedral, and Disney World.
Children of the World represents millions of innocent and hurting children who are suffering around the world. The choir’s purpose is to generate compassion and inspire individuals to get involved by providing clean water to help save lives. Six thousand children died today from water-related illnesses. A special video presentation will take audience members into the heart of this crisis and show how each can make a difference.
World Help was born out of a desire to help those in need both spiritually and physically. They exist to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment through partnering, training, and serving, especially in the unreached area of the world. This concert event is sponsored by Cairo First United Methodist Church and is free to the community. Please call the church office for additional information, (229)377-3051.
