Bruty Contest is next week
The 2nd annual Bruty Contest where the contestants are teenage boys who have to compete as prissy girls is scheduled to delight audiences at Cairo High School next week.
The contest, sponsored by the Cairo Youth Council, is Friday, March 16, at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. “These brave MEN will compete in evening wear, physical fitness and talent. This is a great evening of fun, all for a great cause,” says Nola Daughtry, director of Grady County Children and Youth.
All proceeds will be donated to two local nonprofit organizations: Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy and Grady County Kids Against Hunger.
Cairo Youth Council is sponsored by Mrs. Lisa LeGette, teacher, and Children and Youth Director Daughtry.
Student tickets are $3 and Adult tickets are $5.
