Emergency drill is next Thursday

In partnership with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), the Georgia Emergency Management Association (GEMA) and several local health departments and first responders, Archbold Memorial Hospital, Brooks County Hospital, Grady General Hospital and Mitchell County Hospital will simulate responses during a regional emergency preparedness exercise on Thursday morning, Oct. 27.
The exercise allows officials, observers, media personnel and participating organizations to prepare for responding to a natural disaster while focusing on participants’ emergency response plans, policies and procedures.
Community members should be advised this is only a drill, although some simulated events may appear realistic.
