Dooley to hunker down with library patrons Friday

Legendary football coach Vince Dooley will personally share his new book on gardening with a Cairo audience Friday evening.
The former University of Georgia coach and athletic director is the guest of honor at a reception hosted by Friends of Roddenbery Memorial Library. Coach Dooley will autograph copies of his books, including his newest, “Vince Dooley’s Garden:  A Horticultural Journey of a Football Coach.”
The evening begins at 5 p.m. at Cairo Woman’s Club with Coach Dooley making brief remarks at 6:30 p.m. The event concludes at 7:30 p.m.
Donations will be accepted from guests to benefit Roddenbery Memorial Library.
Dooley is also author or co-author of “Dooley: My Forty Years at Georgia,” “Dooley’s Playbook:  The 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football History,” “What It Means to Be a Bulldog:  Vince Dooley, Mark Richt, and Georgia’s Greatest Players,” “Vince Dooley’s Tales from the 1980 Georgia Bulldogs,” “Dooley’s Dawgs:  25 Years of Winning Football at the University of Georgia,” “How ’bout Them Dawgs,” “Developing a superior football-control attack,” and “Hairy Dawg’s Journey Through the Peach State.”
