Support League seeks nominations for special award

As the saying goes, “if you have your health, you have everything.” And sometimes good health is thanks to a special health care worker. That is the person Grady General Support League wants to recognize with its second annual “Making a World of Difference” award. The group is asking for nominations from the public.
The award is based solely on an individual’s response in a medical situation within Grady County, and could be a doctor or nurse, or even a passerby who offered a helping hand.
“This man or woman nominated shall be in your opinion someone who provided medical attention to an individual that made a big difference in that individual’s life. This nominee could be anyone, whether they are in the medical field or not, that provided medical attention up and beyond the call of duty that ‘made a world of difference’ in someone’s life,” the nomination form states.
Nominations must be submitted by April 15. A form will printed in next week’s newspaper, and forms are already available at Grady General Hospital or the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce.
Nominations may be mailed to Grady General Support League, Attn: Making a World of Difference, P.O. Box 837, Cairo, GA 39828.
