Results of GSP fatality probe still unknown, commander says
The Georgia State Patrol reports it is now only waiting on crime lab results from the GBI to complete its investigation into last month’s accident that ended in the death of a Grady County woman.
Post Commander Sgt. First Class Scott Woodell of the Georgia State Patrol office in Thomasville says interviews are complete and evidence is processed in the one vehicle accident that took the life of Destin Jenkins of Grady County on Sept. 18.
“We are still waiting on lab tech information to come back to know whether someone else was in the vehicle,” said Woodell. He said he hopes the information will be available in the next few weeks.
A Thomas County Sheriff’s deputy discovered the wreck around 7 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, on Georgia Highway 3. Jenkins’ body was found about 25 feet from the 1996 Nissan Maxima.
