Chamber extends deadline for awards nominations

Without a single nomination in hand, as of Tuesday, chamber of commerce officials announced today the deadline for nominations for the annual community awards has been pushed back to Friday, Jan. 8th.
The original deadline was  Monday, Jan. 4, 2010.
Awards are presented annually by the chamber for the man, woman and young professional of the year, as well as the farm family of the year and community service award.
Award criteria and nomination forms are available at the chamber.
“We encourage everyone to submit a nomination for anyone they consider deserving,” said Chamber Executive Vice President Jennifer Majors said this week.
