“We are concerned there may be more victims out there,” says Investigator Daniel Singletary with the Grady County Sheriff’s Office. “We want them to come in and tell us what happened with them if they are victims of molestation by this same guy.”
Investigators began looking into the case on Tuesday, Sept. 8, after the most recent victim told a relative about his alleged molestation, which is said to have happened over a period of months at Brock’s home, 280 Ridge Rd., Cairo. The relative alerted authorities, who are not releasing the name of the victim, nor his exact age, except to say he is under the age of 16.
On Friday, Sept. 11, investigators questioned Brock, 50, then took him into custody, charging him with child molestation, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy and enticing a child for indecent purposes. Singletary says Brock admitted to the incidents involving the juvenile.
The investigator says if there are other molestation victims their information would help this case. “The stronger we make the case, the better it is that he won’t do this to anybody else,” Singletary says.
Anyone interested in contacting Investigator Singletary may do so by calling him at the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, 229-377-5200.
