Grady is on short list of major new employer
Grady County is on the short list of a major new employer looking for a place to expand its operations, according to Grady County Joint Development Authority Executive Director Brian Marlowe.
Although the details of the negotiations are highly confidential, Marlowe says that Grady County is one of only a few locations being considered by the prospective employer, who, according to him, would create in excess of 100 jobs.
“There are some feasibility studies being done presently that we will submit by the end of this month. The company seems to be moving forward rather quickly, and we could possibly know an answer by the latter part of October or the first of November,” Marlowe said.
The company is considering a couple of sites here and Marlowe says officials are exercising due diligence to determine which would best suit their needs.
