“Walk with a Dog Doc” to be held at Davis Park on September 19

The next in a series of “Walk with a Dog Doc” will be held at Davis Park, Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
Participants are invited to bring their dog, join Animal Medical Center, and walk their way to better health.
Not only is the exercise and fresh air good for both human and canine, the dog’s behavior will improve when he’s got an outlet for energy and a chance to bond with his two-legged friend as leader. There will be complimentary treat bags and water for all participants.
Second Chance Animal Rescue will be present, with  dogs and puppies in need of Forever Homes.
Professional dog trainer Leigh Ann Falconer will also be there with tips on coaching and on how to make a dog mannerly and obedient.
Dogs will be scanned for microchips, and a form will be provided so that participants can update their contact information, at no charge. “Save This Life” microchips with lifetime registration will also be available at reduced cost.
All dogs must be current on vaccinations, under control, and on-leash for the event. For more information call Animal Medical Center at 377-2060.
