Holy Week schedule is announced

Local churches are hosting daily services next week leading up to Easter Sunday, which is April 5.
Each of the Holy Week worship services will take place at noon followed by lunch. A suggested donation is $4 for the lunch.
The week will end with an Easter Sunrise Worship Service at 7 a.m., Sunday, April 5. A breakfast will take place after that service, and a $4 donation is suggested to help cover the meal’s cost.
Holy Week worship opportunities begin on Monday, March 30, at First Baptist Church in Cairo where John Paul Hasick will speak.
On Tuesday, March 31, Redeeming Life is hosting the service with Johnny Moore as speaker; First United Methodist Church will host the Wednesday, April 1 service with R.T. Beverly speaking; and on Thursday April 2, the noon service will take place at Gordon Heights Baptist Church with Travis Harrison as speaker. Finally, the Rev. Dellise Cox will lead Friday’s service on April 3 at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
