Annual Silent Auction to be held next week

The seventh annual Grady County Historical Society Silent Auction will be held next week with a wide variety of items to be sold to the highest bidder.
This year’s auction will last only two days with the exhibition of auction items opening next Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. at the Grady County Agri-Center.
Interested bidders can visit the Agri-Center and place bids until 6 p.m. on Wednesday and bidding will resume at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13.
The bidding will end at 8:30 p.m. sharp on Thursday night.
While the bids are being tabulated, “ole-timey” refreshments will be served.
There is no fee to participate and organizers encourage the community to come out and support what has become the largest fundraiser for the society.
All proceeds from the auction go toward the maintenance and operation of the Grady County Museum and History Center.
This year’s auction will feature toys, china, cakes, vacations, pictures, furniture, books, decorative items, wood work, art work, plants and trees, haircuts, small appliances, meals at restaurants, oil changes, gift baskets, beauty supplies and much much more.
See next week’s edition of The Messenger for more information.
