Acting class at library begins Tuesday, Sept. 10
Roddenbery Memorial Library and Syrup City Players are joining forces to offer an introductory acting class Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Syrup City Players President Jeff Lovett along with Pat Orr, director of “The Hobbit,” will lead the class, which is designed to teach the basics of stage acting. The class will take place at Roddenbery Memorial Library at 6 p.m.
Subjects covered will include information about audition tips, theatrical terms, movement on stage, working with other actors, interpreting scripts and preparing for a role.
The class will use selected passages from “The Hobbit,” the stage play that will be performed by the Syrup city Players outdoors at Davis Park on Oct. 4-5.
Anyone interested in learning how to start their stage career is invited to attend the class.
