Called school board meeting set for Tuesday night

The Grady County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting next Tuesday evening to meet with representatives of the Georgia School Boards Association.
The meeting will be held at the VanLandingham Center on North Broad Street beginning at 6:30 p.m.
According to the public notice of the meeting, the purpose is for the board to meet with GSBA officials to discuss the process for conducting a search for a new school superintendent.
Grady County School Superintendent Dr. Tommy Pharis announced earlier this month his plans to retire on July 1, 2013.
