Lynn Sanders wins first gun in Chamber raffle

All 1,000 raffle tickets offered by the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce for its 30-day gun giveaway were sold as of Monday and the month-long raffle is now underway.
Lynn Sanders of Cairo was the first lucky winner on Tuesday. Mrs. Sanders held ticket #511, which was the Georgia Lottery Cash 3 number for May 1.
A drawing will be held each weekday now through June 12, except for Memorial Day, chamber officials say.
Tickets were $30 each and the event is a major fundraiser for the chamber.
Officials remind ticket holders to hold onto their ticket through the end of the raffle since a ticket could win on more than one day.
Executive Director Chadd Mathis and Executive Vice President Jennifer Majors both said they were pleased with the response to the gun raffle.
“We appreciate the community’s support of the chamber,” Mathis said.
Winners will be posted each day on the chamber’s website, cairogachamber.com.
