Memorial services for Karen Baggett Morey, 53, of Cairo, Ga., are at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Family Worship Center, Cairo, with Pastor Johnny Moore officiating. Mrs. Morey passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
Mrs. Morey was born on Sept. 20, 1957, to Christine Harvey Baggett, who survives, and the late Albert Baggett. On March 22, 1975, she married Terry Morey, who survives. She was a secretary at Southside Elementary School in Cairo and was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by: her husband, Terry Morey of Cairo, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua Lee and Angela Morey of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Shane Rowan of Cairo; grandchildren, Hobie Morey of Jacksonville, Hunter Rowan, Morgan Harrell, MaKayla Rowan and Shelby Rowan all of Cairo; sister, Wanda Stephens of Dalton, Ga.; mother, Christine Harvey Baggett of Cairo.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, from 7 until 9 p.m.
