EARL BONE
Oct. 16, 1917-Dec. 9, 2005

Mr. Earl Bone, 88, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, Ga.
Mr. Bone was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Alabama, to the late Lemet Randall and Georgia Mitchell Bone. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Bone was a retired farmer and member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church.
Services were held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, graveside in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo with the Rev. John Paul Hasick officiating.
Survivors include a son, Edsel Bone, Cairo; daughter, Phyllis Pearce, Cairo; grandchildren, Amanda Owens, Dallas, Ga., Wade Bone, Thomasville, Adriann Bone, Cairo, Tyler French, Martinez, Ga., Sandra Pearce, Cairo, Mark Pearce, Cairo, and Jennifer Pearce, Cairo; and great-grandchildren, Lauren Waldron, Cairo, Peyton Pearce, Cairo, Jacob Morrell, Cairo, and Stephen Owens, Dallas.
Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

PEGGY DYOUS
Jan. 8, 1942-Dec. 8, 2005

Mrs. Peggy Walker Dyous, 63, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, in Cairo, Ga.
Mrs. Dyous was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Cairo, to the late Alford Hugh and Evelyn Jewel Mobley Walker. She was of the Baptist faith and a dedicated homemaker.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, graveside in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, with the Rev. Dewayne Lashley officiating.
Survivors include her husband, William Samuel Dyous Sr., whom she married June 2, 1998, Cairo; son, Danny Harold Powers, Cairo; daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn Mandy Morgan and Robert Lee Redfearn, Cairo, Debbie Powers and Harold Thomas Jr., Lakeland, Fla., Tammy Faye Wade and Douglas Simpson, Cairo, and Sherry Ann and Chad Sweat, Cairo; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Wendell Walker, Pelham, Ga., Gwen Walker, Bold Knob, Ar., and A. Jay Walker, Chiefland, Fla.; and sister, Helen Brazewell, Newton, Ga.
Mrs. Dyous was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Walker, and brother, Ronnie H. Walker.

WILL JONES
Feb. 3, 1929-Dec. 2, 2005

Will “Henry” Jones, 76, of Cairo, Ga., passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville, Ga., after an extended illness.
Mr. Jones was born in Grady County, Ga., Feb. 3, 1929, to the late Will and Della Jones. He was married to Eula Mae Williams on Jan. 31, 1946. Mr. Jones worked as a laborer and was a lifetime resident of Grady County. He attended the Grady County School system.
Services were held at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Flemming officiating. Interment followed at Crestview Cemetery, Cairo.
Active pallbearers were Terry Maxwell, Terry Gurley, Marcus Smiley, James Pass, Darren Walden, Christopher Thompson and Christopher Williams.
Survivors include a daughter, Lanet Jones, Cairo; sons, Will M. Jones Jr. (Martha), Charles Jones (Jacqueline), and Nathan Jones (Kathy), all of Cairo; sisters, Virginia Huggins (Bill), Miami, Fla., and Elizabeth Milton, Irvington, N.J.; brother, Hubert Jones (Bobbie), Miami; sisters-in-law, Jerri Jones, Newark, N.J., and Stella Warren, Wyandance, N.Y.; uncle, Kamus Chester, Newark; special daughter-in-law, Cynthia Cotton-Jones, Wuezberg, Germany; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

VERNON LIEB
March 13, 1943-Dec. 11, 2005

Mr. Vernon Lieb, 62, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, in Cairo, Ga.
Mr. Lieb was born in Bakersfield, Calif., March 13, 1943, to the late Eugene Walter and Isabelle Labelle Lieb. He practiced Christian Science.
There are no funeral services planned at this time.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia Belle Sadler Lieb, Cairo; daughters, Dyan Rees, Chattahoochee, Fla., and Olivia Pearl Lieb, Whigham, Ga.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Eugenia Lieb and Donna White; and brothers, Steve Baker, Bob Baker, John Baker, Jim Willis and Billy Lieb.

ELEANOR ROBERTSON
Oct. 16, 1926-Dec. 13, 2005

Mrs. Eleanor Ann Merritt Robertson passed away at her home on Dec. 13, 2005.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1926, in Poulan, Ga., to Ione Bower Merritt and John Haygood Merritt, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Worth County High School and Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, Ga. On Nov. 18, 1951, she married Reuben Lewis Robertson. They took residence in Cairo for him to be the Soil and Water Conservationist of Grady County for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Merritts were members of the First United Methodist Church and charter members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and librarian for Southside Elementary School.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Robertson of Cairo; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Lastinger Robertson, and granddaughters, Laura Delhomme and Krista Robertson, all of Duluth, Ga.; a brother, John Haygood Merritt Jr., Warwick, Ga.; and many loving friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Cairo, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo. The Rev. Richard Soper and the Rev. Tegler Greer will officiate. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday evening, Dec. 14, 2005, from 7 until 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 318 South Broad Street, Cairo, GA 39828.

ELDRIDGE ROBINSON
Aug. 28, 1955-Dec. 9, 2005

Mr. Eldridge Mack Robinson, 50, of Astor, Fla., passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Orlando, Fla.
Funeral services for Mr. Robinson were held on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Dawson and the Rev. Gerald Horne officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Robinson, Billy Robinson, Dewain Robinson, Chris Robinson, Roy Robinson Jr., Chris Cross, Mike Sego and Lloyd Dunbar.
Mr. Robinson was born in Donalsonville, Ga., Aug. 28, 1955, to Merrell and Lucy O’Hearn Robinson. He was married to Beatrice Collins Robinson. Mack was an avid fisherman, a singer, who in the past had sung with the Rocky Ridge Quartet, and was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; two sons, Kent Robinson and Morgan (Mack) Robinson of Astor; three daughters, Robbie and Patrick Ayles, Annie Sue Robinson and Catherine Lucille Robinson, all of Astor; two brothers, Johnny and Libby Robinson, Jakin, Ga., and Roy and Debbie Robinson, Cairo, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Andrea and Cheyenne Ayles and Kent Robinson Jr.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by one brother, Dewain (Bill) Robinson.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
