Services for Mandy Jo Baxter, 32, of Cairo, Ga., are at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Whigham, Ga. Elder Jon Mizell will officiate. Interment will be private. Ms. Baxter passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at her home in Cairo.
Ms. Baxter was born on March 5, 1979, in Thomasville, Ga., to James Albert Baxter and Betty Jo Ulmer Baxter, who survive. Mandy was a secretary with Royce’s Towing Service in Cairo. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
She is survived by: a son, Owen Michael Cassels of Cairo, Ga.; a daughter, Sophia Jayne Gilstrap of Cairo; mother, Betty Jo Ulmer Baxter of Cairo;  father, James Albert Baxter of Coolidge, Ga.; brother, Robert Wayne Baxter of Cairo;  grandmother, Josie Ulmer of Whigham, Ga.;  grandfather, James Robert Baxter of Coolidge; aunt and uncle, Mike and Sue Brock of Whigham; a cousin, Jeremy Lee Brock of Whigham; and a very special friend, Mark Hall.
Ms. Baxter was preceded in death by her grandfather, Hubert Wayne Ulmer; and her grandmother, Lottie Baxter.
The family will receive friends at the home located at 1310 4th St. N. W., Cairo, Ga.
