Kalin, 86,
of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Whigham
Baptist
Church, Whigham, GA, with interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Whigham,
GA. Rev. Richard McNair will officiate. Mrs.
Kalin passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at her home in Whigham, GA.
Active pallbearers will be
Rick Kines,
Sam Kines, Bob Kines, Jimmy Kines, Jerry Kines and Tom Kines.
Mrs. Kalin was born February
25,
1924, in Whigham, GA, to the late Henry Norwood Clark, Sr., and Jessie
Gilmore
Clark. On October 17, 1946, in Norfolk, VA, she married Louis S. Kalin,
Sr.,
who preceded her in death on November 13, 2003. She was a homemaker, a
member
of Whigham Baptist Church, and a member of the Sr. Women’s Sunday School
Class.
Mrs. Kalin was also active in help programs such as hair care for women
in
Pinewood Nursing Center.
Survivors include: son,
Louis S.
Kalin, Jr. of Whigham, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Tim
Kines of
Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Clark Thomas Kines of Whigham, GA, and Adam
Kalin
Kines of Whigham, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, H. N. and Betty Clark
of
Whigham, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy C. Ellen of Chesapeake,
VA, and
Elizabeth C. and Mauri Ealy of Knotts Island, N.C., James Pinkard of
Norfolk,
VA; care giver, Mae Demps of Whigham; a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kalin was preceded in
death by
her husband, her parents; sisters, Nonie C. Johnson, Bernice C. Midgett,
Jean C.
Shaw and Vortelle C. Pinkard.
The family will receive
friends at
the funeral home on Friday, July 9, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
