THOMAS ARTHUR ADAMS

Mr. Thomas Arthur Adams, age 56 of Blountstown, Fla. (Scotts Ferry Community) died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Tom had lived in Calhoun County for the past two years moving from Pine Island, Fla. near Ft. Myers. He worked for the Dept. of Corrections for 14 years and for the past 2 years at Calhoun Correctional Insitution in Blountstown where he was a Registered Nurse.
Survivors include: his wife, Janice E. (Laramore) Adams of Scotts Ferry Community; parents: Thomas B. and Beatrice Adams of Scotts Ferry Community; one daughter, Pamala Bartram and husband, Johnny of California; two sisters: Michelle Winter and husband, Dean of Horsham, Pa, Antonia Adams of Horsham, Pa; one step son, David Terry of Grand Ridge; two step daughters: Stephanie Griffin of Panama City, Celeste Terry of Clarksville; two grandchildren: Kyle and Cameron Bartram of Ca.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 25, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Chris Honnen officiating.

GLORIA GRACE CARTER

Mrs. Gloria Grace Carter, 72, of Bristol, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004, in Blountstown.
Mrs. Carter was born in Jacksonville and had lived in Bristol for the past 30 years.
Survivors include one brother, Laurence Mann Jr. of Reedsville, VA; one sister, Helen D. Tutton of Bristol; a niece, Tonna Howard of Bristol; two nephews, Mitchell and Martin Mann of Centerville, VA; and five great nieces, Melissa Howard of Bristol, Meredith, Mallary, Mai, and Katie Mann all of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM EST Sunday from the Adams Funeral Home Bristol Chapel with Reverend Les Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Saturday at the Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown.

IRENE JACKSON

Mrs. Irene Jackson, age 85 of Clarksville, Fla. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, July 22, 2004. Mrs. Jackson was born July 17, 1919 in Jay, Fla. and had lived in Calhoun County since 2003. Irene worked 19 years with the Pepsi Cola Company in Pensacola, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years. J.D. Jackson and three sons, James Barber Jackson, Lee Don Jackson and Roy Jackson.
Survivors include: four daughter: Hellon Poley and husband, Ernie of Clarksville, Shirley Walter and husband, Bruce of Jacksonville, Carol White and husband, Norman of Pensacola, Alice Simpson and husband, George of Clarksville; two sons: J.D. Jackson, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Hosford, Travis Jackson and wife, Julie of Pensacola; two sisters: Bessie Kelley of Jay, Fla., Veda Mae Bryant of Milton; one brother, Charlie Chavis and wife, Willa Mae of Pace; sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 23, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Wagner officiating. All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, Fla. 850-674-2266.






DELLA POSTON

Mrs. Della Poston, 89, of Hosford, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2004, in Tallahassee.
Mrs. Poston was born in Greensboro, Florida, but lived most of her life in Telogia. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kinch Arnold, and a stepson, Junior Arnold.
Survivors include three daughters, Thelma Louise Arnold Sanders of Hosford; Elma Arnold Kent of Branford, Florida; and Sarah Geneva (Boogie) Arnold Kent of Abbeville, Alabama; one son, Thomas Eustis Arnold of Hosford; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Cassie Durden Whited of Hosford; two "honorary daughters", Marion Mercer and Jean Thompson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, July 21, at Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford. Interment followed in Hosford Cemetery.

BILL SCHRAM

Mr. Bill Schram, age 77 of New Lenox, Il. passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tn. Mr. Schram was born on March 11, 1927 in Benton, Il. and had lived in New Lenox for most of his life. He was a retired Carpenter and a member of the Will County Carpenters Union, Local 174 in Joliet, II. for over 40 years, a member of the American Legion Post #280 in Benton, Il. Bill was a life member of the VFW Post #9545 in New Lenox, Il. Mr. Schram was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy abroad the Ship, USS Abbott. Bill’s favorite past time was farming, he loved planting seeds and watching his garden grow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oness (Poss) and Celia (Granny) Schram and a brother, Robert (Bob) Schram.
Survivors include: loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Clara (Burlison) Schram of New Lenox, Il; one son, Mark Schram and wife, Nancy of Wilmington, Il, one daughter, Gaye Terry and husband, Gene of Blountstown; four brothers: Truman Schram, Jack Schram, Paul Schram, and Pete Schram; four sisters: Bette Hernandez, Jean Summers, Mona Lewis, Joyce Ragan; one grandson, Ted Schram of West Plains, Mo; two granddaughters: Lynette Schram of West Plains, Mo, Crystal Terry of Crawfordville; three great-granddaughters: Laura Leann, Michala, and Trinity; and man’s best friend, Pippin.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 26, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel.
